The shadows she saw in the grass inspired her to develop a technique, which however, did not paint the object she chose onto canvas. When objects live or perishable, such as fruit and even people, they become a painting of them. Alexa Meade's painting style, that is extremely ephemeral nature, is apparent. The only work from her work that is preserved is the photo. Trompe-l'oeil art is created by combining the two techniques of painting and photographing. The result is two-dimensional flattened photograph. Meade has also integrated her models painted by Meade into the 3D space that surrounds them. Their interaction as well as the world they created is possible. In this way, she blurs the lines between photography, painting installation and performance.
