Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actor, playback vocalist as well as a musician. She works predominantly in Tamil as well as Malayalam language films. She first made an appearance as an actor with the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah has been identified as an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as an attorney in the Madras High Court. Her sister, who is younger, is an assistant researcher from Belgium who works in Leuven. Jeremiah was born in Chennai. He attended National Public School. After the completion of his studies, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea was an eight-year-old classical musician who was extremely geeky. In her twenties, she became in a group of the Jackson Five called Young Stars which formed the base of her early singing and music composing career. In her college she was also an actor and appeared in stage productions that were put on by The Madras Players. She was President of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started the acting profession as an infant actor acting in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. Andrea was in the lead role with Shiva in a Leo coffee ad in 2006. She was also the actor in a Podhigai's TV series. She has performed on stage in India. She had a small role in the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). Gautham Vaisudev menon performed in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and then asked to have her play the role of a female character for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani the homemaker who's husband is involved in an extramarital affair. Andrea was chosen for the part following Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were approached by producers. The film came out at the start of 2010.
