Coleman was born in Lancashire, and born in Blackpool. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received the highest marks on her A level exams. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale character she replied that she regrets not to have had the typical university experience. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while in school. The company performed during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. Along with winning a prize for her acting, the production she performed was well received. Coleman is looking to audition for drama college in 2005, landed Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. In 2007 Coleman was awarded two prizes. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded for the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who announced in a news event on 21st march 2012, that Coleman was to take over the role of Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat picked her to play the part because she was the most efficient when working with Smith and could speak more rapidly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field of film since 1987. Her work has been much more prominent on TV than in films. Eva's appearances in the TV show"Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami make an impact. The former even earned her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations and gave her a chance to experiment with her talents in music. Eva is a businesswoman, and also an actor. Eva has had three marriages and has a daughter from her first husband.
