Shay Mitchell (born Shay Mitchell) is a Canadian model, actor and businesswoman. She is best known for her role as Emily Fields in the Freeform series Pretty Little Liars. Shay Lo was the name that was given to a Jennifer Lopez Mitchell admirer by her pals. She developed a passion for the performing arts as a child and also discussed with her parents about pursuing a career in the same. After achieving great results at modeling and dance and acting, she decided to test to become an actor and started acting lessons in Toronto. Mitchell was able to land a couple of commercials. She also had guest roles on television shows. Her biggest break came when she was cast in the role of Emily Fields. The show was highly praised both for her acting and by fans. She then began her screen debut in Dreamland Mother's Day The Possession of Hannah Grace. The psychological thriller You that she starred, brought the film more attention.
