Lindsey Vonn is an American alpine skier born on 18 October 1984. She was a gold medalist in downhill events at the Winter Olympics as well as four World Cups. She has the second highest overall score for any skier male or female. She's the most skilled skier ever and is the most well-known across the United States. She is a renowned and long-running tradition within American sports. She is among only six women who have been successful at all five alpine ski World Cup events. In total, she's won an impressive 82 World Cup championships. The most skilled skiers from around across the globe, including most skilled American ski racers, have announced their retirement after this year's World Championship in Sweden. Four-time World Cup overall champion decided to take a break following numerous ailments. Social media was her way to declare her decision to retire.
